Tai Ji Quan:  Moving for Better Balance is a national evidence-based program which was newly implemented by NDSU Extension in 2021.  Tai Ji Quan is designed to improve strength, balance, mobility, and daily function, reducing participants’ risk of falling.  Participants meet for 1 hour twice a week for 12 weeks.  Check out our schedule here.

What participants have said: “My sense of balance has improved, and I am much more aware of the positioning of my legs and feet while standing and moving from a standstill.  Also, I have noticed a slight improvement in how I stand up from sitting in a chair.  I’m much more likely to reposition my weight when I stand.  Also, I am much more awre of when and How I am breathing during movement.”

(12 weeks) Monday and Wednesdays from 1-2pm starting September 9th-November 27th, 2024.

Classes are held at Messiah Lutheran, 2010 N Elm St.  Please park in the south parking lot, entering the lower level of the church.  Cost:  FREE
