Fit & Strong: An Evidence-Based Exercise Program for Older Adults blends a multiple component 12-week program that includes 60 minutes of exercise and 30 minutes of group discussion/problem solving/health education twice a week. It uses a curriculum designed to facilitate arthritis symptom management, confidence in ability to exercise safely, and commitment to lifestyle change.
What participants have said: “Increased confidence walking outdoors on ice and able to go up and down stairs easier.” “Increased strength in lower extremities and decrease in stiffness.” “More endurance-more flexibility-Balance has improved.”
When: Tuesday and Thursday from 1-2:30pm starting September 10th-December 5th, 2024.

Where: Classes are held at Messiah Lutheran, 2010 N Elm St.
